How it works
Set up on the device you already have.
TrackShopGh runs in Chrome or Edge and installs like an app on a Windows laptop, an Android tablet or a phone. Nothing to buy to start.
What you need
A phone, tablet or laptop
A Windows laptop, Android tablet or Android phone with Chrome or Edge. The one you have is usually fine.
A barcode scanner
The device camera does the job. Point it at a barcode to add the item to a sale or find a product.
A receipt printer
An ESC/POS thermal printer by USB or serial cable, or a portable Bluetooth one, with 58mm, 80mm or 112mm paper, or any printer set up in Windows. You can add one later.
Internet, once
You need a connection to create your account. After that, selling, stock and receipts work offline.
Setting up, step by step
The steps depend on how you choose to run your shop. Not sure which?
Cloud-synced

Tap Start free trial, enter your business name and choose Cloud-synced.

Create your account with your name, phone number, email and a password. Add a referral code if you have one.

Your 7-day trial starts straight away, with every feature and no payment.

Add your products and your cashiers, have each cashier set up a PIN on the shop’s device, and make your first sale.

Before the trial ends, pick a plan and pay by Mobile Money or card, monthly or for a year at a time.
Local-only
GH₵3,000 once- 1
On the device you will sell from, enter your business name and choose Local-only.

Create your account with your name, phone number, email and a password.

Pay GH₵3,000 once through Paystack, by Mobile Money or card.

When the payment is confirmed, your shop is ready on this device.

Add your products and cashiers, and back your data up to a file regularly.
Install the app
Installing puts TrackShopGh on your home screen or Start menu, so it opens like any other app. There is no app store download.
TrackShopGhThe Windows app for the local licence
The local licence is getting its own Windows app, which keeps your data in the app’s own folder, where clearing browsing data cannot touch it. Until it is ready, the local licence runs in Chrome or Edge, installed as shown above.
What happens when the network goes
The app saves everything on the device first. Here is a normal day with a patchy connection.
Online
Selling as normal
Each sale is saved on the device. Cloud shops send it to the cloud straight away.
Offline
The network drops
Keep selling. Sales, stock changes and receipts all work, and the waiting changes are kept on the device.
Still offline
Closing time
Receipts still print and the day’s sales are on the device. Nothing is lost if the lights go off.
Back online
It syncs by itself
Cloud shops send every waiting sale and change automatically. Your other devices catch up.
Local-only shops
Everything stays on the device and never needs to sync. Back your data up to a file regularly, so you can restore it if the device is lost.
Needs a connection
Creating your account, logging in with a password, and resetting a password. A cashier can still sign in offline with their PIN on a device they have used before.
